POSITION PROFILE
The Business Analyst for Process Automation and Improvement plays a vital role in identifying, analyzing, and optimizing our clients’ business processes. You will work in collaboration with Account
Executives, Solution Architects, and technical implementation teams to uncover automation opportunities, define solution requirements, and drive business value through streamlined processes.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate client workflows and business systems, document their current state, and recommend improvements through the use of Ricoh’s suite of
Business Process Automation solutions, including but not limited to ECM, RPA, Document Management, and AI/BI tools. You will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical
teams to ensure the successful design and delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client-Facing Business Analysis
- Engage with clients to understand their strategic goals and operational challenges.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, including C-level executives in mid- to large-sized organizations.
- Conduct needs assessments and in-depth interviews to gather business and functional requirements.
- Document current (AS-IS) and future (TO-BE) states of business processes using tools such as flowcharts, BPMN, or case diagrams.
- Document customer interface requirements and design.
- Facilitate client workshops, discovery sessions, and process mapping exercises.
Solution Design & Recommendations
- Analyze existing workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for automation.
- Work with PreSales and Technical teams to co-design solutions tailored to the client's needs.
- Support the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), business cases, and proposals.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation technologies such as RPA, document capture, and low-code platforms.
- Ensure solutions meet compliance, scalability, and usability standards.
- Development of Functional Requirements Document.
Sales & Project Support
- Collaborate with Account Executives to align solutions with customer objectives and expectations.
- Assist in crafting responses to RFPs, providing functional insight and business value alignment.
- Support customer presentations and communicate the business benefits of proposed improvements.
- Monitor industry trends and bring innovative process improvement ideas to the team.
- Track the impact of implemented solutions and provide recommendations for continuous optimization.
- Partner & Internal Collaboration
- Act as a communication bridge between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with third-party technology partners and internal SMEs to validate solution feasibility.
- Train internal teams on process improvement best practices and contribute to the enhancement of Ricoh’s automation methodology.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, or Workflow
- Automation roles.
- Experience working with or implementing solutions such as RPA, ECM, Business Intelligence, or
- Workflow Automation platforms.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucid chart, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks (certifications a plus).
- Familiarity with Agile methodology.
- Familiarity with digital transformation and change management practices.
- Bilingual – English and Spanish required. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Public speaking experience or aptitude to become a great communicator.
- Demonstrates organizational skills while working on multiple projects.
